I forgot about the cards!

oops, I did mention that I would post the cards I made for the Jillibean DT call.  Here they are! The bunny pulls out of the basket, and can be placed half out or just  his ears peeking out. For the sunflower, I used 2 different sized scallop punches for the yellow, trimmed between each scallop then folded each petal.

I don't know what the weather is like where you are, but we got snow yesterday, and there are still traces of it left on the ground- yuck. I'm ready for some sunshine!

Down The Rabbit Hole

I love Alice in Wonderland,.I've been a huge fan for very long time- since high school I guess. I even went as far as to do several art projects in College and University with the theme, including a performance piece where I staged a tea party for my classmates.
Needless to say I was eager to get started on The Greeeting Farm's challenge  to make an Alice inspired card.  I used A Child's Year Cricut Cartridge to cut the Hat shape, an Alice Stamp from The Greeting Farm, and lots of fun stuff from my stash.

I may just have to do a few more cards along this theme, but the problem is I'm the only person I know who would appreciate an Alice inspired card LOL!

Valentine's Decor?!

I'm not usually one to make altered items, but when I saw this little mailbox last night at Walmart for 4 dollars, I couldn't help it. I tossed the premade valentines that were inside, and dug out my favorite Valentine papers from my stash. ( These were  from Fancy Pants' Splendid line).
A little ribbon from Bo bunny, a Doodlebug Frill and lots of glittered chipboard ( American Crafts, Scrapworks) and voila!
What I love most about this are the LED's that go on when the door is opened. I  punched holes in the pp to make room for them, then added some large eyelets to frame them. I hope this holds up to the abuse of my boys for at least a couple of years!

I'm sure gonna have fun filling this up with love notes for my guys!

Here's the next card I made for TGF relay. I whipped this one up a bit quickly, There are a few things I'd change if I made it again.

I just happened to have the Basic Grey cupcakes cut and on my desk from another project- I love how they ended up working on this card!

a pinch of happy

I had a really rough week last week, so I think it's time for a little fun.

Here's a card I did for a relay at The Greeting Farm
the digi Ian stamp is super cute!

Materials:
Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper
PP: Cosmo Cricket, MME
DIGI Stamp: The Greeting Farm
Copics Markers
Chipboard: Cosmo Cricket
pebbles and dew drops: unknown
Stickles
Glossy Accents

...and here's a layout I did during an all day crop with the girls. It was one of those layouts that just wasn't working, I ripped the paper removing some elements, and almost trashed it altogether. With some creative alterations, I think it finally came together ok.

Materials:
PP: Pebbles, SEI
Stickers: Pebbles
letter Stickers:Bo Bunny
Chipboard: American Crafts, Fancy Pants

Here's to a happier week!

Blog Hop Stop!

You've made it here via Practical Scrappers Designer Blog Hop! I wanted to share something a little more special than just a layout with you today. I'm not sure who this is for yet, (I have 2 boys) but It was fun pulling out some pink!

The wreath shape and backing( Chipboard and PP) are both cut with the Cricut Accent Essentials cartridge. I used extra thick foam dots to stick them together. I then wove the wired satin ribbon through the holes, added a felt branch and flowers as well as the adorable Owl stamp from Stampin' Bella.

I am giving away a Stampin' Bella stamp as a prize for the blog hop and I am able to ship Internationally. In order to qualify you need to become a follower here and leave a comment on this post. I will announce the winner on Monday, January 25th so make sure to check back in! Isn't he cute?
You should have arrived here from Heidi's blog. YOUR NEXT STOP is Jamie's Blog. If this was your first stop head over to Practical Scrappers to start at the beginning of the hop. The designers are giving away some great prizes - you don't want to miss your chance!

Goodnight 2009!

For the last few years we've rung in the new year with a cozy dinner party at home with our good friends and neighbors Claude and Vanessa. Each year the meal becomes more and more elaborate, and every time we recount the menu to someone, the tale just gets bigger and better. I plan on doing a layout about the meal this year ( as I plan to do every other year), so this post is just to show you a page about our kids. Nothing beats clean kids in cozy jammies, off to bed so that mommies and daddies can enjoy the last evening of 2009.

Materials used:
Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper, Coordinations
PP: American Crafts
letters: American Crafts
Foam: American Crafts
chipboard: American Crafts, Pebbles
